Modem Kernal Panic

You are unable to connect to the internet and your power light continues to flash red or alternates between red and green.

It may be that your Speedtouch modem is in "Kernel Panic".  In some cases this can be fixed by following the steps below: 

  • Power off modem for min of 30secs
  • With modem turned off, press reset for 30secs
  • Holding in reset, turn modem on
  • Hold reset for an additional 15secs
  • Release reset and wait one minute
  • Power cycle modem

If you continue to experience problems, your ADSL modem will need to be replaced.
