How can I backup my entire cpanel account / website ? Print

You can backup your entire cpanel account / website from within the cpanel interface for any one of your cpanel hosting accounts.

1) You can login to the cpanel interface and click on the icon titled "Backups"

2) Click on the button that says "Download or Generate a Full Website Backup"

3) Choose Backup Destination (preferably Home Directory) and click "Generate Backup" button.

Once the backup process has finished creating the backup archive, you can download the backup archive from within the "Download or Generate a Full Website Backup" screen.

Depending upon the size of your hosting account, the backup process could take some time to generate the backup archive. You can take this backup archive and restore your account to any cpanel hosting provider, or you can extract the archive for data management.

Note: you can also login to your cpanel account via ftp and download the cpanel backup archive file.
